Will the expansion create any impact from runoff on Swamp Creek and the Conestoga River?
The expanded disposal area will be designed to send the majority of stormwater runoff from non-waste areas into sedimentation basins. Stormwater that comes into contact with solid waste will be contained—as it is now—within the landfill and conveyed by the leachate collection system to our on-site wastewater treatment plant.
