I remember a report, indicating that the landfill drains into a large aquifer that supplies drinking water for much of the area. What about that?
A Coatesville resident claimed some years ago that a leak from the landfill could contaminate an aquifer that supplies Lancaster County with water. DEP reviewed this and found no validity to the claim or basis for concern.
